Various error messages you may encounter during registration can be found below. In short, be sure that you are enter the serial number for the correct edition of Revu (Standard, CAD, or eXtreme). Be sure the serial number and product key are correct. Be sure that you are attempting to register the correct version of Revu.

• a serial number for Revu CAD 2018 will not work on Revu Standard 2018.
• a serial number for Revu CAD 2018 will not work on Revu CAD 2015.
• a Product Key for Revu CAD 2018 showing as T3D82-2AKDPH1, but entered as T3DB2-2AKDPHI will not work. Best to copy and past that Product Key to avoid misinterpreting I’s, 1’s, l’s, O’s, and 0’s.

The serial number and product key entered is for an older version of this product

Fun Fact: If your serial number begins with a “98”, you have and Enterprise License. If your serial number begins with a “96”, you have an Open License. If your serial number begins with a “1”, it is a perpetual license.

You can move your license to a new computer by completing the process below. However, you’ll need the serial number and product key listed in the License Certificate, which was sent to the license owner from registration@bluebeamops.com.

If you’ve lost this information, you can contact ASt or call 1300 672 888 to request that the license certificate be resent to you. When doing so, be sure to include the serial number, version number, the license owner’s name, company name, email address and phone number where you can be reached.

If you don’t know your Bluebeam serial number, it can be found by opening Revu and clicking Revu > About. The serial number is listed in the upper-left corner, below the title and version number.

Backing up your Revu settings

Moving the license on Windows® 10, 8.1 and 7 SP1

1. Go to the Bluebeam Revu Compatibility Chartand confirm that your version of Revu is compatible with the operating system and associated software on your new computer.
2. Open Revu on the computer you are transferring from. Make sure the computer is connected to the internet.
3. Go to Revu >
4. Uninstall Revu from the original computer.
   1. In Windows 10: Right-click Start, then click Apps and Featuresat the top.

In Windows 8.1: Right-click Start, then click Programs and Features at the top.

In Windows 7 SP1: Click Start > Control Panel, then click Uninstall a program or Programs and Features.

2. Select Bluebeam Revuand click Uninstall.
3. Follow the on-screen prompts to continue uninstalling the software.

5. Download and install the software on the new computer. A download link for the software is included in the license certificate. You can also download the software from our downloads and updates

Make sure you download the edition and version of the software listed on your license certificate.

6. During the installation, you’ll be prompted to enter the same serial number and product key you received from registration@bluebeamops.com.
7. Follow the directions to authorise the software on the new computer.

If Revu has already been installed on the new computer, follow the steps listed below to complete the registration process:

1. Open Revu.
2. Go to Revu> Register.
3. If needed, copy and paste the serial number and product key from the license certificate email, into their corresponding boxes on the Registration dialog box.
4. Click Registerand then click Finish.

If an error message displays during the registration, click here for details about the error and how to resolve it. If you still cannot fix the issue, follow the steps in the Revu Installation Guide to reinstall Revu.

Backing up your Revu settings creates a .zip file that you can revert to in case you experience computer issues, or if you need to migrate to a new computer. Even if you’re not immediately moving to a new computer, it’s a good idea to keep a backup file in a location other than your local hard drive, so it can be restored in the event of a hard drive failure.

To back up your settings with Revu:

1. Open Revu .
2. Go to Revu> Preferences (Ctrl+K).
3. From the sidebar select Admin, then click Optionsat the top.
4. Click Backup.
5. When prompted, save your .zip file to a secure location.

Your back up Revu .zip file has been saved. Repeat this process as necessary, such as when you make significant changes to your setting.

Manually backing up your settings

You can also back up the entire folder manually, or add the folder to your backup routine. It’s located in:

C:UsersAppDataRoamingBluebeam SoftwareRevu

Once you’re inside the Revu folder, you’ll see a sub-folder labeled 19 (named after the installed version).

Restoring your settings lets you return your Revu configuration settings to a previous state by uploading a backup file.

Revu will quit and re-launch during this process. Please make sure to save any work before continuing.

To restore your settings:

1. Open Revu .
2. Go to Revu> Preferences (Ctrl+K).
3. From the sidebar select Admin, then click Optionsat the top.
4. Click Restore, then click OK.
5. Locate your Revu settings backup file and click Open.
   Revu will now close and re-launch on its own.

Resetting your Revu settings

The reset settings option in Revu resets your settings to their original configurations. Before proceeding, it’s recommended to back up your settings in case this reset doesn’t produced the desired result.

Revu will quit and re-launch during this process. Please make sure to save any work before continuing.

To back up custom page setups:

1. Open the Bluebeam Administrator .
   In Windows 10, press the Windows key and type Bluebeam Administrator 2019.
2. Click the Net Config
3. Double-click on the path next to Global Page Setup.
4. Copy the files *.plugin.xml to the same location as the rest of your backup.

Email templates

To back up your email templates:

1. Open the Bluebeam Administrator .
   In Windows 10, press the Windows key and type Bluebeam Administrator 2019.
2. Click the Net Config
3. Double-click on the path next to E-mail Templates.
4. Copy all the files in the folder to the same location as the rest of your backup.
