Autel has got some feedback from customers for updating Autel MaxiLink ML629 software. The Maxi PC Suit always prompts “Failed to find device” when connecting the ML629 device to computer.

From the homepage, www.maxitpms.com, go to Products, then select MaxiTPMS TS401, click on the Downloads tab and then click on Maxi PC Suite TS401 file to download the MaxiLinkII software. To unzip the file, rightmouse click on the file and select Extract All. Double-click on Setup.exe to install.
Solution
1. Hold the left arrow button on Autel ML629, insert its wire into computer USB port. The screen will turn on, and say: ”Updated by USB”.
All Autel scanners with SD card need to register on Autel official site, and download software program via the machine or connect PC Suite to Autel server, the software program is bound with the serial number, copy the software from other machines is not allowed, nor the SD card is not allowed to mix-use, otherwise it will lead to authorization. Some diagnostic software may not work with versions 2.1.0 and above. Check to make sure your software supports 115.2 kbps before upgrading, or manually set the baud rate to 38.4 kbps. 2. Open Maxi PC Suit software on computer to start scanning, it says “Failed to find device”. This is where a lot of people are probably having trouble.

Take out the Micro SD card that came with the device at the bottom, put it in a adapter and insert into computer.
3. Run the Maxi PC Suit software again, now you can successfully log in to update latest available upgrades.
Install and transfer it to the Micro SD card, then put the card back to Autel ML629 device. Updated is complete.

Remember to download the correct version, it is normally the 1st one, the other one is for MAC system, and one is for Mexico.
